Current Projects

February 2008

Our 120m project in Kiel is ready for network hardware and VSAT ADE installation. Testing continues on the NAS3000 billing module, Washington Yachting Group implements Triton for 3 vessels. GCS approves two more Triton training instructors.

January 2008

Annual Board Meeting. Darren on M/Y Laurel to integrate new VSAT install. Hernando attends the USSA St.Martin Captains event. New client M/Y Reverie has network analysis. Project Marama at Delta implements Triton.

December 2007

Steve is onsite at Delta for two new builds. Darren in Panama to install new VSAT antenna on M/Y Laurel. GCS Holiday Party kicked out of posh restaurant.

November 2007

Hernando handles new client and builds Reseller network. Work and IT support completed on various vessels in Florida, Seattle, Connecticut and Holland.

GCS is very pleased to announce the hiring of Hernando Giraldo as our new Director of Business Development. Hernando will head up our Florida office and brings many years of experience in IT and sales.

Scott and Steve are in Monte Carlo for the Monaco Yacht Show. Tribú will be showcasing Triton. Darren oversaw an MTN conversion. Andy and Darren are installing an NAS3000 on M/Y Sudami.

August 2007

GCS signed with Maritime Telecommunications Network, a SeaMobile Company, as an MTN Service Provider. Steve provided Triton training for M/Y Sudami and M/Y Adler. Darren signed the VSAT 6006 install for M/Y Laurel.

May 2007

Darren Mayhead will be on the road this month, installing a new server on Kisses in Vancouver, upgrading equipment for new client Adler in Fort Lauderdale, and paying a call to Laurel in Seattle. Andy Levy will be on the panel for Communications and Technology at the ProjectUSA 2007 in San Diego. Steve Kahlich will also be attending.

April 2007

Scott and Darren are in Seattle for Laurel. Andy will be configuring equipment for the new build in Kiel.

March 2007

Andy is in Germany completing the commissioning for new build Lady Sheridan, and meeting with clients in Kiel. Steve will be attending the Superyacht Symposium at the Sea Trade Convention in Miami Beach, and meeting with clients in Fort Lauderdale.

January 2007

Steve Kahlich is meeting with a new client in New York to bid on a new build in Turkey. Both Scott and Steve are in Fort Lauderdale to service clients and provide Triton training. Steve also attended the USSA promo event in St. Martin.

December 2006

Andy and Scott are in Germany doing the final install on Lady Sheridan. Darren is handling numerous upgrade requests for various yachts.

August 2006

Andy will be touring Holland, Germany, France and Palma, meeting with clients, training crews on Triton, completing a NAS3000 install at Feadship, and conducting on-site repairs and upgrades.

Darren completed another NAS3000 installation on Bossy Boots in San Diego. Work continues on the project in Kiel, and 3 more vessels have purchased Triton.

June 2006

Darren is in Fort Lauderdale working with clients in preparation for the summer season. Steve will be in Washington State to meet with new clients at Christensen and drop by the Westport and Westship yards.

May 2006

Steve will be in Finland to conduct the Triton training and data entry seminar for Baltic Yachts, and assisting in transferring the database to the new vessel. Darren and Andy will be attending ther latest VSAT support seminar.

April 2006

Computer equipment upgrade for Kisses in Jacksonville. Final testing of Triton Administrator 3.5 for launch in May. Working with Knight & Carver to develop computer and communications services for incoming clients.

March 2006

Final installations for the new builds at Delta and Lurssen. GCS is providing on-site computer repair and upgrades to Helios in San Diego, GCS is assisting in the handover of the newly sold Lady Sheridan.

February 2006

Scott Strand attended the Miami Boat Show and had great success in showcasing the NAS3000. Burger Boat Company is interested in incorporating Triton into their build program. New features have been added to Triton 3.0 as V3.5 nears the completion of testing.

January 2006

Work continues at Delta and Lurssen as both projects are almost ready to launch. GCS has been asked to submit full network and communication proposals for 3 new builds. Speedy takes on a new client, S/Y CAVU in Fort Lauderdale.

December 2005

Our Delta project is nearing completion and Darren will be in Seattle for the second part of our installation. Andy is installing our 3rd NAS3000 unit on Gallant Lady, and final testing for Triton 3.5 should be completed before Christmas.

November 2005

GCS was on site at Lurssen, Abeking & Rasmussen, and Delta as three new builds get closer to completion. Steve Kahlich and Scott Strand attended Project2005 in Amsterdam and met with the principals of the Linda Lou project, who will be using Triton Administrator to create and manage their database during the build. Andrew Levy made on-site calls to Floridian, Helios, and Phoenix in Barcelona, and Steve Eide handled a VSAT changeover with Darren on Huntress in Florida.

October 2005

Hurricane Wilma has delayed the opening of FLIBS. Current projects in Fort Lauderdale will continue once basic facilities are restored. Luckily, GCS E-mail servers are located in Reno, NV and there was no interruption in service to GCS e-mail clients. Earlier, Donald and Speedy completed the first phase of installation for the project at Delta Shipyard in Seattle, Andy Levy set up the offices at Project SF99, and paid a visit to a client in Palma. Ongoing projects include new builds at Abeking & Rasmussen, Blohm+Voss, Lurssen, Delta, Baltic Yachts, Hakvoort, and Royal Huisman.

September 2005

GCS attended the Monaco Yacht Show and exhibited in the San Diego Yacht Fest. M/Y Ronin received Triton training and installation and GCS provided consulting services for the engineering department.

GCS is proud to announce the hiring of STEVE EIDE (aka Speedy) who will be manning the Fort Lauderdale office full time. Steve brings 7 years of network installation experience and a strong work ethic, and looks forward to working on the big white boats..

July 2005

GCS continued to develop business relationships with various vendors. Steve conducted two Triton training sessions, in Seattle for new members of the project at Delta, and in Savannah, GA for Scheherazade.

June 2005

GCS sent two delegates to Project USA in Seattle to particpate in discussions regarding the future of US shipbuilding. Ellix Too had 2 Triton training sessions with data entry.

May 2005

The NAS3000 debuted at the SEAS2005 show in Nice, France. Initial reviews are enthusiastic. GCS also participated in a number of workshops during the show. GCS provided equipment upgrades and repair to numerous yachts in Fort Lauderdale before the summer season.

April 2005

VSAT and VOIP successfully installed on Cakewalk Lite. GCS is signed on for a new 60m build at Abeking & Rasmussen, including Triton Administrator, onboard network, and VSAT install and configuration. GCS provided custom programming for M/Y Meduse.

March 2005

Helios refit is complete! GCS visited St. Martin and Fort Lauderdale to conduct on-site training classes for Triton Administrator.

February 2005

GCS is installing and configuring two VSAT packages for a new build and a refit. GCS technicians are completing a refit at Jones Boat Yard in Miami, Florida, and just finished a complete equipment upgrade at Derecktor's in Dania.

October 2004

GCS will be participating in the 2004 Fort Lauderdale Internatioal Boat Show with IMA, sharing a booth under the auspices of the Australian Yachting Group in the Superyacht Tent.

September 2004

GCS attended the Monaco Yacht Show and conducted on-site training with Phoenix crew. Project Oasis has signed GCS on for the onboard network.

GCS is proud to announce the opening of new offices in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, at 500 SE 17th Street, Suite 224. Darren will be heading up the Florida office from October 15 through December.

Darren Mayhead has joined the GCS team as Senior Field Applications Engineer! GCS provides on-site training on Triton to Bravado crew. Warranty visit to Phoenix in Barcelona, Spain.

GCS will be installing system upgrades on Pegasus and other yachts in the Med. Completed installation on Project Phoenix. GCS installing onboard network on new build at Abeking & Rasmussen, Project Bravado.

Steve Kahlich will be hosting a workshop on Integrating the Connected Build Office at the SEAS2004 Conference in Nice, France, May 27th.
